Even with increased competition and weakening of the world economy, the United Airlines has managed to remain as one of the airlines that people prefer while they are on vacation, business trip, or traveling to other countries .

The success of the United Airlines is not a secret, but because of several factors that have worked together, to make this airline offer the best services in the region. With the interaction of various approaches that United Airlines has employed, the airliner has managed to create a winning brand in the airline industry. United Airlines has served many people as an international gateway to countries in Europe and Asia. With the ability to ply new routes, the United Airlines has managed to create a competitive advantage over other airlines that lack the capacity to operate in such routes.

For instance, the United Airlines has had the highest number of China and other destination in the Middle East. Because of continually opening new routes to new destinations, the United Airlines has continued excel as modern airlines that passengers prefer to other rivals in the industry. Continued innovation is a mark of United Airlines that has made it develop new and innovative solutions through mergers with other firms (). With focus on business flights, the United Airlines has developed competitive facilities that display the airline’s taste for innovation and commitment to meeting the needs of the passengers.

To illustrate this, United Airlines recently introduced a flatbed for the passenger using the business class during their flight. With this kind of seat, customers are able to enjoy sleeping especially during long flights such as nonstop flights from Washington to China. Whereas other competitors eye creating new technologies, United Airlines seems to be at the front building a more elaborate brand name. Introduction of new entertainment features in United Airlines passenger jets adds to some of the strategies it uses to create more demand for its services.

Compare to other airliners, United Airlines has committed itself to improve the can experience by introducing audio, as well as video on demand. These are provided using video screen that are large than those of the competitors. Consequently, United Airlines has edged out competition due to the demand of entertainment in the cabin where passengers are. With the firms fitting new planes with the best entertainment gadgets, the airliners have positioned it far above the other airline providers (Gaughan, 2010).

Frequent flyer program is another factor that has made United Airlines emerges as a serious contender in the airline industry. Even when competition with other rivals, United Airlines runs a frequent flyer program that allow frequent passenger to redeem miles they earn as they travel using the airliner. With this program, customers are encouraged to fly quite often-using United Airline thus making it one of the leading service providers in the airline industry (Goeldner & Ritchie, 2009). Certainly, the United Airlines stands as a well-established society.

United Airlines success rests on the introduction of new routes to international destinations. Innovation has also helped the United Airlines to meet the taste of the customers.
