Taking decisive measure that matters in life Name of the student Institution affiliation Taking decisive measure that matters in life The economy may be defined as the wealth that a country possesses in a way that produces and consumes her resources (Alfred, 2004). In most cases, the economy is the determinant of the lives of her citizens, and this may be seen clearly when the economy is either good or bad; because the standard of living is similar. It is good to note that life must continue whether the economy is good or not, it is the duty of every citizen to work on their own to make ends meet, and stop depending on then help from the government, as the government may at times fail to reach them. Furthermore, the government does not know exactly who has been affected by the economy. The one impressive thing is that Tina did not give up when the economy went down, she knew that life had to continue and, therefore, she took a step of sustaining her life by looking for a job. She is lucky to have had the job although it is a task that lives her in a dilemma between her personality and money. It is a good thing to think about your personality and the picture you will create to the society, keeping in mind that you have to survive. After giving the idea so much thought, Tina would go to the office of the manager the first thing in the following morning. Ensuring that there was no other person, she will talk to the manager one on one. The first thing would have to express gratitude for securing a job that she always wished to have. Then, she would tell the manager that since she had not been in such a business before, it will be a challenge to her. Her motive is always to work with all her might to see that she meets the goals of the organization and because her future with this kind of business was uncertain, she will tell the manager that she is not ready to take the job; she quits. Question 1 The main argument, in this case, is to weigh between money and moral values. Tina has been brought in a firm Christian foundation where she learned between right or wrong. She has a good heart and always thinks of the consequences of what she must do before performing it. Since she was small, she learned to put herself in the shoes of others before doing anything to them and learned that doing something bad to people is similar to doing it to her own self. On the other hand, her father stopped supporting her when the economy went down, and she must survive. She needs money to sustain her, and that gives the reason she is dangerously looking for a job. She would give an explanation of how she was raised explaining that money is excellent but cannot buy the personality of an individual. She better remain jobless rather than being involved in a fraud business. Question 2 The key at stake in this context is firmly adhering to her decision, to avoid being wavered by those who may listen and disagree with her. People are not the same and obviously, they will have differing options any time an issue is raised. Some may be for while other against the idea but the fact remains that they cannot change your personality. It may not sound good to work in an environment one is not comfortable with, and always thinking of what and how they are thinking of you. Again, it is not good to let people decide for you. Question 3 There are several arguments that she will use to influence people especially those that will disagree with her. One, it is biblically wrong to do wrong to other persons. Tina was supposed to create pseudonyms with fake interests, fake Master’s Degrees, fake marriages, and fake kids. She would go online and tag books with keywords and search suggestions and then create lists and guides, recommending books she had never read based on qualifications and interests that did not exist. All this is wrong biblically, even Jesus taught against doing wrong to other people. The other thing will be explaining to those who disagree, that what goes around comes around. Whatever the business it may be is okay but what if the same thing you do is done unto you? The money is good because everything is made pleasurable by money, but it is always good to know how and when the money is obtained. Biblically, God, blesses the works of people’s hands but evidently, will He bless this kind of work? Well, this is a business that started sometimes back and for sure, it has succeeded because of the people involved. She may not say that they are not blessed, but they should ask themselves, is the Lord happy with this kind of work they do? It is better to earn genuine money no matter how little they are, and God will always bless it because He likes genuine hearts. Question 4 The most powerful and persuasive she needs to address is the issue concerning money and personality. As stated earlier, money is too good to ignore but personality comes first. Again, money is too good because it can buy everything that the world can offer, but cannot buy one's personality. The personality of an individual is ranked first, although it depends on the kind of a person it is, and the type of background he/she was raised in. It is true to say that a person with dignity and a genuine heart can have the peace of mind even without the money, but the person without dignity will always be disturbed. Again, it is better to lack money but have the peace of mind than having so much money without the peace of mind; it will be of no help anyway. This argument should be made to the manager to explain why she should not take the job she always wished to secure. In addition, the argument may also be applicable to the employees especially the five interns to make them aware of the kind of business they will engage in. Once aware, they will argue within themselves whether to serve money or their inner feeling of their personality; after all, people are not similar. It should be made as soon as possible before they adapt to work since it may be easier to adjust, rather than when they already would have acclimatized to the new job. The best place to explain this to the employees is within the organization or when out taking lunch together. To the manager, the office is the best place to explain this.
